Masters Degree in Integrated Working with Children and their Families in the Early Years, Bachelor of Art Honours in Early Childhood Studies & Early Years Teacher
I have worked within early years since I completed my NNEB in 1998. Most of my career has been spent working at Charnwood Nursery & Pre-School Group. I am proud to be part of such a driven and inspiring team.
Throughout my early years career I have gone on to expand my academic journey, completing a Foundation Degree, a Bachelor’s degree, Early Years Professional Status and most recently a Master’s Degree in Integrated Working with Children and their Families. Through completing the Master’s Degree, I have embraced the process of research led practice, which has in turn enabled me develop my role within the Charnwood Nursery & Pre-School Group. Researching and learning from pioneering early years theorists has enabled me to, alongside the practitioners within the setting, implement new initiatives that deepen the understanding of how children learn and how to facilitate their learning and development.
My role as the groups Training and Development Manager offers me a unique position to enhance the settings curriculum and experiences, that enable the children within the settings to flourish within our learning spaces.
I also have the pleasure of working alongside our outstanding team, to either provide continuous CPD myself, or source inspiring early years mentors to enhance practice within the settings.
I have a passion for facilitating parenting groups. Supporting parents in their journey through parenthood is an honour and is incredibly beneficial to the children who attend our settings.
Working within Early Years is my passion. I am in an extraordinary and humbling position to observe and facilitate the early learning and development of so many children within our settings.
